A table above the water
The bifora — the twin-arched window of old Istrian stone houses — is set in mosaic beneath your feet, and the Adriatic is close enough to hear under your table.
Bifora sits on the stone waterfront at the edge of Umag's old town, its terrace built right over the sea. The kitchen keeps things honest: whatever the boats bring in goes on ice at the entrance, and from there straight to the grill.
Come for a long lunch in the shade, or at dusk, when the lamps come on and the whole terrace turns the colour of the sky.
